The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on Wednesday, August 9 introduced the 18-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 and the three-match One-Day Worldwide collection towards Afghanistan.
Pakistan Squad for the Asia Cup 2023 & Afghanistan ODIs:
- Openers: Abdullah Shafique, Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq
- Center order: Babar Azam (captain), Salman Ali Agha, Iftikhar Ahmed, Tayyab Tahir and Saud Shakeel (just for Afghanistan collection).
- Wicketkeepers: Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Haris
- Spinners: Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Mohammad Nawaz and Usama Mir
- Pacers: Faheem Ashraf, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi
Pakistan are scheduled to kick off the Asia Cup 2023 marketing campaign in Multan on August 30. The massive-ticket conflict between India and Pakistan within the group stage will probably be held on September 2 in Kandy.
