The third season of the World T20 (GT20) Canada is all set to bowl out from July 20 to August 6, 2023. The action-packed event will function a complete of 21 T20 matches, all to be hosted on the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario.
Wanting again on the earlier editions, the Vancouver Knights and Winnipeg Hawks etched their names as champions in 2018 and 2019, respectively, showcasing their prowess within the thrilling T20 competitors.
This 12 months’s version brings in recent pleasure because the Mississauga Panthers and Surrey Jaguars will make their event debuts alongside the Brampton Wolves, Montreal Tigers, Toronto Nationals, and the defending champions, Vancouver Knights.
The GT20 Canada 2023 will undertake a round-robin format within the league stage, with every workforce battling it out in 21 league matches. Following the league section, the highest 4 groups will advance to the playoffs, setting the stage for thrilling knockout clashes.
Within the playoffs, the highest two groups will face off in Qualifier 1, vying for a direct spot within the grand ultimate. In the meantime, the third and fourth-placed groups will battle it out within the eliminator, with the winner securing a spot within the Qualifier 2 in opposition to the shedding workforce from Qualifier 1.
All eyes will then be on the ultimate match, scheduled for August 6, as the highest contenders vie for supremacy and the coveted title of GT20 Canada champions.
